The venerable ProArtisan 24 has been released in an Iyonix compatible form by APDL. It's for sale at £39; upgrade from the Clares version for £29 or the ProAction/APDL re-release for £19.

Andy Wiseman has been teaching maths and statistics for 15 years and is sharing some of the software he has written and used. QMstat is a full RISCOS application for processing datasets and performing statistical calculations, and you can also find a bunch of programs developed for the BBC Micro (but also run on the latest systems.)

A new SibToDraw version is being sent to all current users. New features include a symbol creator and editor, a drag and drop symbol library, and a new path style dialogue. A demo version is available.

Peter Naulls brings another Unix app to RISC OS through his porting project. RDesktop allows access to remote sessions on machines supporting Windows NT Terminal services. The port derives its RISC OS Windowing functionality from the ChoX11 library, which replaces the X Window System libraries used by Unix.

Finally, the advanced Iyonix keyboard/mouse drivers mentioned last week can now be purchased in the UK through R-Comp. Customers will receive a copy of HID on floppy disc, and will be eligable to receive all updates etc from its developer, X-Ample Technology.
