A quick September roundup

Posted by The Doctor on 19:40, 6/9/2002 | ,

In a desparate attempt to find some news for this page, I happened to stumble on across an intended port of Citadel II for RISC OS by the programmer of the original.
At the moment, there's only the mention that work has begun, but perhaps with some encouragement, something will actually appear.

There has been a vague hint of activity from Flaymz about the progress of their first offering. We don't know what it is yet, but it should show off the Micro Digital Omegas abilities when it gets here!

On an Emulation note, fans of Manic Miner may like to know that an unofficial new set of screens have been produced. Readers of comp.sys.sinclair will already know this. Both Z80em and Spec128 will run the new game perfectly.

Unregistered user Well - I'd be really thrilled if I could find a decent TEK review somewhere in the Acorn-gaming realms of the internet. Anyone got a hint?

Unregistered user I'd do one, but TEK is definately NOT my type of game I'm afraid and I just wouldn't be able do it justice.

On the other hand, if I could get my hands on a TEK Demo, I'd put it on my software site straight away....

Unregistered user I'm really stunned by the fact that after literally years of waiting and hoping there still is no proper review available on the 'net -- honestly, I had expected to see at least one here at AA and one at Acorn Gaming.
What's wrong? Is the game too bad? Is all the reviewing now exclusively done by Acorn User (if still existing) or the (in)famous newsgroups? ;-)

Pleasepleaseplease! Do a review -- I'm sure, Jan and I are not the only ones interested... :-)

Unregistered user After the release of TEK things have gone very quiet indeed. So (Jan) any news of the online play part of TEK?

As for manic miner, i could never get past Eugenes lair. So the new levels could help boost the games popularity again. Maybe someone will now convert it to Xbox, GameCube and PS2, etc etc, hmmmm?
