STD 4th July celebrations

unipodEveryone knows that 4th July is a very special day that brings happiness into the lives of all those great European patriots. Yes! you guessed it! Garibaldi day! To celebrate this day of historic significance STD have come up with a "delightful snack^H^H^H^H^Hoffer"

Take one Unipod USB
Smear it with a generous helping of free extra functions
[Mmm...free goo]
Top it off with an external USB DVD drive
Serve

Unipod USB: £99
USB DVD: £99
Net & IDE extra functions: normally £25 each - both free

Total: £198

This offer is available from today until 29th July 2005. When ordering, ask for "The Garibaldi"

Matt Edgar of STD told us "To make way for this new bundle of Full Unipod with DVD drive, we are having a fire^H^H^H^H sale of the curra^Hent stock of unbundled Unipods at only £135, but, because we know that you won't want to miss out on the DVD drive, you can add it to our clearout Unipods for only £63!"

I'm out of step with these things: What does ^H^H^H^H^ mean?
Cheers!

It's actually an old-school Unix thing - it's essentially a representation of the delete character (which could show up on your terminal if it wasn't configured correctly).

^W means delete whole word, but it wasn't as common so even less people get the joke ;)
